The group issued a statement reacting to a new maneuver promoted by right-wing EU deputies in order to accuse Cuba of violating human rights, which was debated on Tuesday and will be voted on on Thursday. The solidarity group considers regrettable the fact that the Plenum of the European Parliament hold this pointless debate, spearheaded by representatives of Spain s right and far-right from Partido Popular, Ciudadanos and Vox, with the sole purpose of torpedoing the Agreement on Political Dialogue and Cooperation between the EU and Cuba.
